If you live in Minnesota, schedule a free workshop on voting with Automark demonstrations for your group, with staff from the Secretary of State's Office.
You can lead a civic engagement workshop like the one shown on the My Voice, My Vote video, on why citizens with disabilities should vote. The workshop is easy to do, fun, and requires few materials (just markers and a roll of paper). Download the Being a Citizen in Today's World workshop instructions (PDF), developed and offered by the Center for Democracy and Citizenship (currently at Augsburg College; the module was developed while the Center was at the University of Minnesota's Hubert H. Humphrey Institute for Public Affairs).
Several nonpartisan websites have excellent materials on voting, becoming informed, and getting involved with issues of interest. You may find these useful in your classroom or program, or in supporting individuals.
